We would like to have a wifi-enabled music station to play songs in the common room via an amplifier. We also have small speakers in nearly every room that we could integrate.
Songs should be streamed from online services, web radio or a NAS. This would be a great Raspberry Pi based project.
Planned Features
- Integrate the door bell
- Multiroom System using the existing speakers (see issue #2)
- Play Music from different sources (e.g. via mopidy)
- Play Music from Bluetooth devices
- Possibility to make announcements
Software Options
Todos
- Create list of Hardware options
- Decide on Hardware to use
- Create and test door bell integration circuit
Needed
- 2 Raspberry Pis (1 for the common room speakers, 1 for the multiroom speakers)
- Second IT person with Linux / Raspberry pi knowledge
